Discouragement |
Deuteronomy 1
21 See, the LORD your God has given you the land. Go up and take
possession of it as the LORD , the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be
afraid; do not be discouraged."
Psalm 77
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. Of Asaph.
A psalm.
1 I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.
Isaiah 40
31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They
will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk
and not be faint.
Joshua 1
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be
terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you
wherever you go."
Psalm 147
3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
2 Corinthians 4
8We are hard pressed on every side, but
not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted,
but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10We always carry
around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be
revealed in our body. 11For we who are alive are always being given
over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal
body. 12So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With
that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,
14because we know that the one who raised the
Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you
in his presence.
Proverbs 17
22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries
up the bones.
Psalm 51
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
