Dating |
No verses in the Bible specifically refer to dating. In Bible times, young men and women did not date. Their marriages were arranged by their parents. Nevertheless, the Scripture gives many principles that pertain to the practice of dating.
1 Corinthians 15
33Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
Proverbs 11
3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful
are destroyed by their duplicity.
2 Corinthians 6
Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers
14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do
righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have
with darkness?
Exodus 20
12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long
in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Proverbs 20
11 Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct
is pure and right.

1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy
of the calling you have received.
Matthew 5

Ephesians 5
2and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave
himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3But

impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.
Psalm 119
b Beth
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according
to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray
from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I
might not sin against you.
